
Julia Miller, pianist, formed part of the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra in a co-production with KorMalta under the direction of Riccardo Bianchi. The programme featured Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana in Anders Högstedt’s arrangement for reduced forces, performed with soprano, tenor, baritone, mixed choir, and boys’ choir.
The concert brought to life Orff’s iconic score, renowned for its driving rhythms and dramatic power, with KorMalta’s voices adding striking depth and resonance. This performance offered audiences an exhilarating interpretation that blended medieval poetry with modern orchestral brilliance, creating a memorable evening of music-making.
