During Gaulitana: A Festival of Music 2024, Piano Duo recital title A Journey across the Cultures, presented musician and researcher ππππππππππ ππΕππ in tandem with locally-based accomplished pianist πππππ ππππππ.
Exploiting the full spectrum of sounds and techniques of the instrument, the Polish-born artists embarked on an intercultural musical expedition, including an oeuvre by Maltese composer Karl Fiorini.
Two Pianists, Four Hands
Polish pianists Julia Miller and Aleksandra HaΕat held a four-hand piano recital in the Green Room of Pjazza Teatru Rjal in Valletta on April 9 at 7.30pm 2024.
They played compositions by the Polish romantic composer Moszkowski, French composers Poulenc and Ravel, Argentinian composer Piazzolla; and Maltese composer Fiorini.
The recital also included a premiere of a composition by Polish composer Dobrucka, inspired by the theme of migration and the movement of people.
