In February 2026, Julia joined violinist Inmaculada Muñoz Salgüero and cellist Isabel Anaya Herrera from the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra to perform Johannes Brahms’ Piano Trio No.1 in B major Op.8, one of his early large-scale chamber works, later substantially revised. The concert formed part of the MPO Chamber Series and took place in Robert Sammut Hall in Floriana.

Preparation towards the concert required a lot of detailed ensemble work, particularly in balancing the density of the piano writing with the string textures, and also taking into the account the acoustics of the venue. This performance marked a return to piano trio repertoire, which Julia had performed extensively before relocating to Malta. The concert was warmly received by the audience.
